Now starting his riding career in France

The stud has now relocated to the beautiful Loire Valley of France, we are situated approx 10klms from the equestrian centre of France at Saumur, the home of the world famous Cadre Noir, the french school of equitation, we are also a simular distance form the Hippadrome at Verry, which hosts each year the European 3star three day event, which attracts the best of the european and world event riders, also events such as the European carriage driving championships and many other equestrian events, coupled with one of the finest wine growing areas in France, situated around the beautiful chateau town of Saumur. This area is well worth a visit.

We have available a comfortable ensuite chambre (B&B) facility at reasonable rates for one or two persons, for further information please contact us.

The aim of the Cyfarthfa Stud has always been to breed Welsh Ponies that have the ability to go on to compete in all performance disciplines, with a breeding programme that endeavours to retain the type, temperament, and characteristics of the Welsh Riding Pony (Sec B)
